NFC tags for your bag, keys or gear. One tap on a phone opens whatever you chose to put on it, with nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. It is not a tracker: no GPS, no battery.

How it works

NFC is the short-range chip already in your phone. No app, no pairing, no signal. You choose what goes on the tag, and every tag ships unlocked so you can rewrite it any time.

Where to hold the phone. iPhone: the top edge of the phone goes to the tag. Android: the middle of the back of the phone goes to the tag. iPHONE Top edge of the phone to the tag ANDROID Middle of the back to the tag
Bring the phone to the tag and hold still a second. Red marks where the phone reads. On Android, if the middle does not work, try a little higher.

Hold close

Unlock your phone. Hold it close to the tag's tap circle and pause.

Tap to open

Wait for a notification on your screen, then tap the notification to open it. The tag does not open anything by itself.

Read and connect

What you set up opens: a text, a call, or your info. Read it, then send or call if you still need help. Nothing gets installed and nothing is downloaded.

Nothing happened? Move the phone slightly. On Android, turn NFC on in Settings. Try again without a thick or metal case.

A dad who worries
about his kids.

Hey, I’m Steven. South Pier Co. started with my family: we had just moved back home to Grand Haven, new schools, new teams, and one thought kept coming back to me.

One of them is going to leave a bag somewhere. That is not a maybe, that is a Tuesday.

So I made my kids tags, and then one for everyone else who has the same worry. I spent twenty years in the Navy, and I am finishing an MS-MSL at Michigan State. Go Green. I design, print, finish and program every tag myself, here in Grand Haven. No account, no subscription, nobody else’s server. It’s me.

Where the money goes

Two ways out, both of them local.

Every tag sends a donation. What is printed on the front decides which way it goes, and there is no third option.

ONE TAG SELLS A donation goes out IF A SCHOOL IS ON IT That school gets the donation. The one printed on the front. Not a pool, not a fund we divide up later. EVERY OTHER TAG A local nonprofit gets the donation. Medical, allergy, if found, pet, memory care, autism, nonspeaking, veterans.
